George Will's Puerile Tantrum Over Pope Francis CRISIS MAGAZINE - September 25, 2015 ... Protestant polemics. Among the Pope's supposed vices are that "he stands against modernity, rationality, science, and ultimately, the spontaneous creativity of open societies in which people and their desires are not problems but precious resources." Will's reference to freely expressed "desires" in this diatribe caused me to think immediately of those who resist facilitating gay marriages or providing services to gay weddings, or academics who ...http://feedproxy.google.com/~r/CrisisMagazine/~3/_OALrQIinEE/george-wills-puerile-tantrum-over-pope-francis
Double-Standards at Work in the Selection of Synod Members? The Curious Cases of Cardinal Tong Hon and Archbishop Cordil RORATE CÆLI - September 15, 2015 ... 75 and 80, such as Cardinal Damasceno Assis (one of the four President-Delegates of the Synod, who is 77), the Curial dicastery heads Cardinals Coccopalmerio (77), Amato (77), Veglio (77), and many others. Without falling into blind faith in the "biological solution" against liberalism -- there are, after all, a good number of liberal theologians and prelates in their 40's, 50's and early 60's -- it should be noted that the "Kasperite camp" has as its most prominent leaders ...http://rorate-caeli.blogspot.com/2015/09/double-standards-at-work-in-selection.html
The Upcoming Schism THE CATHOLIC FAITHFUL - September 15, 2015 ... shirt and jeans, and behind him are men holding masonic images. Pinocchio had good intentions. What I described is what I see when I hear Michael Voris talk about the SSPX. I am NOT a fan of the SSPX, but for reasons far removed from what has ever come out of Michael Voris's mouth. I do have respect for the late Archbishop Lefebvre but not for signing Nostrae Aetate (an action ...http://feedproxy.google.com/~r/TheCatholicFaithful/~3/6aNqmo33y_8/the-upcoming-schism.html
On Pope Francis and Church Integrity CRISIS MAGAZINE - September 10, 2015 "The Church's practice always results from what she receives and contemplates in revelation. Pastoral ministry cannot be detached from doctrine." ∼Robert Cardinal Sarah, Silent Action of the Heart (July 2015) I. In the Path to Rome , Belloc remarked that as one gets older he becomes more concerned with the human side of the supernatural Church. This famous walk took place in 1901 when Leo XIII (1810-1903) was still alive in his nineties. He did not resign. Indeed, Leo ...http://feedproxy.google.com/~r/CrisisMagazine/~3/9V9ldPPz1Wc/on-pope-francis-and-church-integrity
Corporate America: A Friend of the Family? CRISIS MAGAZINE - July 7, 2015 One of the interesting features of the recent public debate over same-sex "marriage" (SSM) has been the high profile support for it by large American corporations. Such support has included sharp attacks against assorted "religious freedom" state laws ostensibly designed to protect those with faith-based scruples. Indeed, Fortune magazine recently described what it termed "an unprecedented torrent of criticism" aimed at Indiana's controversial law from ...http://feedproxy.google.com/~r/CrisisMagazine/~3/i4sx4SkFcIw/corporate-america-a-friend-of-the-family
An Edited Comment. ABBEY ROADS - June 29, 2015 ... gay issues. Late Sunday night parents of gays - members of PFLAG I guess, discussed their children 'coming out' - their children spoke about the experience as well, included were their stories of the reaction of the Church - it was deeply moving. It was very sad, but heartening the way the parents accepted and affirmed their kids. The documentary, Anyone and Everyone also dealt with the tragedy of kids kicked out by their parents, becoming homeless and so on. All terribly sad ...http://abbey-roads.blogspot.com/2015/06/an-edited-comment.html
