This Week in Madonna House - Feb 1-7 GETTING TO THE POINT - February 7, 2015 ... traditional forms of religious life and the lay vocation, ourselves a lay community partaking of the nature of consecrated life. The whole 'point', if you will, of vita consecrata in the Church is to bear witness to the radical and total demands of God and the Gospel of Christ upon the human person, His absolute claim to all we are and do. MH, by living this totality in the lay state, bears witness to what Vatican II brought to the fore, namely the universal call to this totality, the call to ...http://frdenis.blogspot.com/2015/02/this-week-in-madonna-house-feb-1-7.html

Regardless, similar to Juanita's acceptance, this acceptance starts what could be a four-year engagement. God willing, the engagement would culminate in a Sacrament similar to the Sacrament of Marriage, that being the Sacrament of Holy Orders - Ordination as a Permanent Deacon. While in the end I alone (in a manner of speaking) would receive this Sacrament, because of the magnitude of this commitment, the engagement - formation program - will ...http://www.ioftheneedle.com/2013/07/acceptance.html

He answered that the fire and brimstone that he used to scare the boys no longer had a positive effect. He said that once the boys were visibly shaken by exaggerated descriptions of eternal punishment, but they had come to dismiss the possibility. Perhaps the author of the Letter to the Hebrews is aware of ...http://cbmdominicanpreacher.blogspot.com/2015/01/thursday-january-15-2014.html
